Celestino studied jazz & creative rhythm pedagogy on drums and percussion at a private school in Switzerland. He then studied percussion in Guinea, Mali and Senegal under the direction of the most iconist drum masters of our time, including Famadou Konate, Billy Konate, Ali Ndiaye Rose and Bassidi Kone, and delved into the traditional world of the djembedrum.  

As an educational course leader/teacher and cultural worker, he worked for more then 5 years in various public and private schools, independently leading courses, retreats, workshops, art & culture project weeks in the areas of world percussion, drums, music, movement and dance.
He has taught thousands of students of all ages and levels – offering individual and group lessons in drums and percussion (djembé, conga, dundun, cajón, bongo). His work includes children's rhythm groups, family music sessions, music and movement classes, drum ensembles, rhythm & body percussion, weekly djembé drumming courses, jam sessions, and leading various arts and project weeks.
